Let’s Agree in Prayer for Greater Spiritual Strength
Pastor James encourages Christians to persevere through challenges, empowered by God, to fulfill their divine purpose and impact the world.
As Christians, we are not called to lives of ease, popularity, covert faith, swimming with the current of our culture, or aspiring to anything less than the best God wants to make us, accomplish through us, and give us . . . which means we never stop aspiring.
When we do and as we grow in Christ and in our effectiveness for Him, the larger we make the target on our backs for Satanic attack. (Not to be confused with the targets we make of our hearts and minds when we draw away from God and His righteousness.)
Satan is a coward. Satan always attacks us from the shadows, from behind a mask, in some sort of ambush, and when worry, discouragement, loneliness, rejection or some other weakness or malady makes us most vulnerable.
I ask you to agree with me in prayer that the target on our backs always indicate a growing, more powerful, and more effective impact for God’s Kingdom and that He not give us the strength to simply endure what hits it, but the strength to grow through it, be refined by it, love in greater measure because of it, and be made more powerful in Christ with each arrow.
Living lowed by the philosophy, “Oh, I’m just a poor, long-suffering victim for Christ’s sake” is zombie martyrdom: the afflicted is not among the dead, but on many levels they bear a striking resemblance – and their virulent “bite” can render those around them as dim in joy, despairing of hope, scarce in blessing, and impotent for God’s Kingdom as they are.
We are not called to be victims but conquerors (Romans 8:37). I like Hannibal’s attitude when, on his army’s way to invade Italy, they came upon the immense obstacle of the Alps: “We’ll either find a way or make one”. Always remember “. . . greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world”
(1 John 4:4).
Please share as much as you can. There are many believers who need this encouragement today.
Also, I invite you to please follow our page so that we can reach more people with a positive, bold, scripturally sound message of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and simple, authentic Christianity. This ministry is devoted to sharing the undiluted truth, never engaging in ear tickling or playing to the whims of popular culture
We are here to serve you; to give, not to receive. God always meets our every need. Praise His Holy names!
Thank you and may God richly bless you,
Pastor James
