As Christians, We are Here to Serve
Pastor James emphasizes that Christians should serve and share their faith with urgency, as time is short and the needs of others are great.
My friends, Christians should Serve Others with Love, Compassion, Generosity, Non-judgment, and Urgency.
Serving others in need and who are hurting is always a good idea. Winning the lost to Jesus Christ is the best idea! We shouldn’t wait for just the right timing. The planets will never align perfectly. We shouldn’t wait for “when I get some time.” That time will never open up unless we make it happen.
We shouldn’t wait for when we attain some higher level of righteousness. Serving in God’s kingdom is not like a category of airline frequent flier program: platinum, gold, or silver-level. Our “category” – our value – in God’s Kingdom is priceless, far greater than platinum, gold, or any other worldly substance or object.
Are you waiting to reach some lofty level of worthiness before you serve others in need . . . before you share the Gospel? Now THAT is not a good idea, my friend. Satan will always try to convince us we are not worthy enough, but we can rest assured that our worthiness was purchased by Jesus on the cross.
So we just need to jump in and serve NOW. Our community, our church – your church – needs you NOW, more than ever. We are coming to the end of history, Brothers and Sisters-in-Christ, and there are so many who need Jesus Christ in their lives.
Listen to me. We can not afford to sit around waiting to be raptured up out of here. We have too much work to do. When the ship is going down – and it is – we must work urgently to get as many more folks into the “life” boats as possible. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
There is too little time left between what we are doing right now – this very minute – and eternity. Let’s resolve to help as many people spend eternity in the presence of the Lord as possible . . . while not forgetting that on this side of glory, folks right here in our community today – some are already saved, some are not – have pressing spiritual, physical, material, psychological, and emotional needs. Let’s do what we can to help them, as God leads.
I ask that you follow our Facebook page, please.
We are a small, local body of believers who are not seeking popularity, but wish to reach as many people for Jesus Christ and to love and serve as many of them as we possibly can. The more followers, likes, and comments our page gets, the more people we can reach. Praise the Lord!
