I hope you know that no matter how you may feel at times in your life, when the burdens and trials bring doubt or fear or even despair, you were born for a reason! God has a plan for your life. 

Jeremiah 29:11 tell us, “For I know the thoughts [plans, purpose] that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end [hope, future].”  Like Job you may say why was I ever born, but the Lord of all creation knows you by name. Job also knew God and though he cried in his time of trial and anguish, he also said in Job 13:15, ”. . . though he [God] slay me, yet will I trust him . . .” Moses talked with God on the mountain and he had a relationship with Him like no other man in history and even with his doubt about various things, he knew that God knew him by name! “And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.” (Exodus 33:12)

He knows each of us! He knows our thoughts and intentions! He knows the pain we feel, the times we laughed and how many hairs are on our head! God also knows our dreams and hopes to be what He has called us to be. Don’t give up and say to yourself, “What’s the use?” before you get to do what He has planned for you to do. Just go to the only One who has the ability to help you, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is a Compassionate Saviour who has felt pain, sorrow, disappointment, rejection and many more of the things you and I have felt. 

In Isaiah 53:3 we are told, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief . . .” Jesus waited 30 years before He started fulfilling His purpose on earth, yet He was able to overcome all the enemy threw at Him. He even rose from death to show us the way to overcome and have Everlasting Life! 

So, no matter what troubles you face, no matter how deep the doubts or heavy the burdens, remember this: God has already made the plan for your life and you have not been forgotten. You may not know what that plan is, but He will bring it to pass if you will seek His will and live for Him everyday. The same God who knew Job in his suffering, who called Moses by name, and who gave His life for you, sees you, knows you, and loves you beyond measure. His plans for you are filled with hope and purpose, even when life feels uncertain. When despair whispers that you don’t matter, silence it with the truth: you were created by design, chosen with love, and called for a purpose. Stand firm in faith, hold onto hope, and trust the One who holds your future. He knows your name, and He will never let you go.

Why Jesus

Jesus Christ is the central figure in history and the foundation of the Christian faith. To answer "Why Jesus?" we must belief explore His historicity, His purpose, and why accepting Him as Lord and Savior transforms lives and will have eternal consequences for you.

1. The Historicity of Jesus

Historians across religious and secular disciplines agree on the existence of Jesus of Nazareth. Ancient non-Christian sources, such as Roman historians Tacitus and Suetonius, and the Jewish historian Josephus, mention Jesus and His followers. The New Testament offers corroborated eyewitness accounts that align with historical findings.

  • Jesus lived in 1st-century Judea, taught with authority, and gained a following.
  • He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, as recorded by Tacitus (Annals 15:44).

1. Matthew 22:37-39

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

Explanation: The greatest commandment is to love God with all our being, and the second is to love others as ourselves. True Christian living starts with love—toward God and others.

2. John 13:34-35

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Explanation: Love is the identifying mark of a true disciple. Our love for others should reflect the sacrificial love Jesus demonstrated for us.

Just keep these things in mind: 1) there are a lot of hypocrites everywhere you go, and 2) are you going to let those folks deny you the wonderful blessings the right church body can provide you?)
